Goodbye Nell Anne

Most of you got this news through our e-mail blast. Nell Anne Gossett will be leaving our staff.

She has been an incredible asset to Harmony for the last six years. When she joined our staff it was in a part time postion when we were running about 250. Today six years later we are averaging over 1100. In the last six years she has championed many changes. We now have an incredibly strong and talented group of people who help lead us in worship each week. She has assembled other incredibly talented people who help with graphics, audio/visual, and set designs. She has been with us through two major building campaigns (one a relocation).

When Nell Anne joined us it was because God was leading her to be a part of Harmony. She now feels that what she was called to do is done. Nell Anne loves a challenge and that is what she has had for the last six years. A challenge that she was always willing to roll up her sleeves and get at. Now is the time for her to move on to new ones. I, for one can't wait to see what that will be!

Please be praying for her, Wayne and their family as they transition into this new time in their lives. Also pray for Harmony as we seek God's direction in filling this position. The other leaders and I have no doubt that God has the right person already prepared to jump in and build on the great foundation that has been laid.

This Sunday will be her last weekend with us. We will be having a reception for her after the 10:45 service. Come tell her how much you love her as only Harmony folks can do.

To quote Nell Anne, "Onward and Upward".

This is shocking news; I didn't see it coming.

Nell thanks for your help during my short time at Harmony. I pray that God will open the right doors for you!

She actually gave us her resignation 3 weeks ago but we all agreed that it could be a distraction from our "One" launch, and Easter weekend if we announced then. That is why we kept it quiet till this week.

I have been so encouraged by the reaction I'm seeing from folks. Sure, there is the initial shock - but the overwhelming majority are voicing their trust in God and our leadership to move on.

I think this too speaks of the great job Nell Anne has done making it all about "HIM" and never about her!

She will be greatly missed but her presence will always be around!

Years from now someone will write a book about it... Harmony Church and the ghost of Nell Anne! LOL

But seriously her "finger prints" will be with us for a very long time.

To say that this is a loss, would be a major understatement. Nell Anne has been more than an asset to Harmony. She has built an amazing worship ministry that she can be so very proud of and leave knowing that the people that she has worked with are well equiped to handle the upcoming weeks of uncertainty. God does have His hand in this, and will bless her and her family beyond imagination for the tireless work she has done for Him. Thank you Nell Anne, for being such a huge part of my spiritual, musical and personal growth. You ARE an amazing woman, friend, and an inspiration to many. TJ Semones
